Fair Trade & Organic Certified Chocolate
The Fair Trade Certified Cocoa beans
that go into every bar of Divine Chocolate are grown by Kuapa Kokoo, a 45,000 member, farmer owned cooperative
in Ghana. Not only do these farmers receive Fair Trade
premiums for their cocoa beans, they are part owners of
the Divine Chocolate brand.
 Fair Trade Certification guarantees
that Kuapa Kokoo's farmers receive a fair price for
their cocoa beans. Fair Trade premiums help to build wells, fund education
and provide mobile medical units for the community. Over
the past 8 years, Kuapa Kokoo has injected approximately
$1,000,000 in extra income to
farmers.
